CANCER PREVENTION RESEARCH INSTITUTE - CPRIT
San Marcos, TX | 16,000 Sq. Ft. | $10,000,000 | New Construction
This project was awarded as a Task Order on our Texas Facilities Commission IDIQ HVAC Testing and Balancing (TAB) Professional Engineering Services. The new headquarters for the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) project was a tenent interior finishout within the 85,000 sq. ft. William B. Travis State office building renovation.
LCCX, performed Test, Adjust, and Balance (TAB) and served as the TAB authority to coordinate and provide “AABC/NEBB” TAB Services including the development of a TAB plan, a TAB for HVAC equipment in this office building space. The LCCX, LLC team reviewed installation of equipment, the manufacture’s start-up procedures and assisted in problem and deficiency resolution. During TAB LCCx chaired and documented meeting progress while identifying and resolving Deficiency Issues. Finally LCCx prepared a comprehensive Summary TAB Report.
During our attempts to Balance the air and water flows of the HVAC system we encountered deficiencies which were addressed by the general contractor. LCCx discovered problems with the water flow through the chilled water control valves. We confirmed that this project’s BAS Controls were properly responding between the Facility and the Main Control Room. All of the above situations were rectified and we were able to successfully finish test and balance on the air and hydronic systems.
