TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY STAR PARK
San Marcos, TX | 16,000 Sq. Ft. | $10,000,000 | New Construction
Texas State University selected LCCx to perform Commissioning services on this new construction expansion and finish-out on a research laboratory space within the STAR Park research building. We were hired by the contractor SpawGlass as the best practice to commission laboratory space prior to occupancy by university researchers.
We determined that the High Clean Exhaust Fans for the Laboratory fume hoods were not properly interlocked with the HVAC system. We worked with the contractor the mech. Contractor and the seaman’s controls contractor to resolve this problem. Our scope of work was not under a building code but was viewed as a best practice by the contractor to deliver a high performance laboratory space to the building owner.
